"Excellent ham hok soup and fantastic vegetable pie and nice Cappuccino."
5 I came here both Saturday and Sunday this weekend and both meals I had were absolutely top notch and the staff and atmosphere were also delightful. I will happily come here again when I'm in Ararat next. Highly recommended to anyone travelling through looking for nice breakfast or lunch 10/10
5 My partner and I stopped to get some breakfast before our trip back to adelaide and had an amazing experience. We ordered the french toast and eggs benedict with mushrooms instead of bacon. Both were delicious and the staff was extremely accomodating and friendly. The whipped yogurt on the french toast was perfect and the food is all freshly made according to the owner who was a lovely egyptian woman. We highly recommend this cafe.
5 We arrived quite late and they were cleaning up ready to close soon. But they still managed to make us some falafel as we were looking for vegan options. The food was delicious my partner really enjoyed it. I had the ham and cheese croissant it was also great. Thank you so much for accommodating us.
5 We had a great cup of coffee at the Vines Café and Bar. The menu offered good options for breakfast, brunch, lunch. And a display for further selection. Popular with the locals (a good sign). The Manager and service was good. Tables indoors and outdoors. Yes, well recommended. Thank you.
5 Passing through Ararat from Halls Gap for lunch. Very nice town, friendly people. Tried the Vines and Cafe for lunch. I ordered the salmon and hubby the steak sandwich. Absolutely delicious! Salmon is beautiful cooked, juicy and soft, crispy skin, goes so well with the creamy mashed potatoes and the currant and nut vinaigrette. Yum! Hubby steak well cooked was very tasty too. Steak cooked to perfection, good portion and loved those onion rings! It’s was Saturday lunch time but wasn’t too busy and wait time is reasonable .
5 Stopped in at the Vines Ararat for lunch today. Good value, great variety of fresh food at a great price. Really not much over $25 and the servings were pretty good. Great service, really nice tables by the footpath under the grape vines. Nice atmosphere, not noisy, water provided, good coffee, toilets inside and clean kitchen. I will definitely drop in again next time we are in town.
